Margaritaville Resort Breaks Ground in Orange Beach
Exciting developments are underway in Orange Beach, Alabama, as the highly anticipated Margaritaville Resort officially commenced construction on May 14, 2025. Situated on over 60 acres along the Intracoastal Waterway at The Wharf, this expansive project is set to transform the Gulf Coast's hospitality and real estate landscape.
The resort will feature a diverse array of accommodations, including a 160-room condo hotel, 49 standalone luxury condominiums, and approximately 150 bungalow-style homes ranging from two to five bedrooms. These residences are expected to be available for purchase starting in the summer of 2025.
Guests and residents will enjoy a wide variety of amenities, such as a seven-acre amenity deck with lazy rivers, water slides, multiple pools, a kids' splash zone, and an adult Serenity Pool with a swim-up bar. The resort will also offer seven on-site dining and beverage venues, including the high-end Nautical Wheeler and Frankie and Lola’s Pizza.
Additional features include a 43-slip transient marina, a "5 o’Clock Somewhere" waterfront bar, a private ferry service connecting the resort to The Wharf, and flexible event spaces for corporate meetings and weddings. At full capacity, the resort will accommodate over 2,000 guests and is projected to create more than 350 jobs in the region.
Construction is set to proceed immediately, with the first phase expected to open in 2027 and full completion anticipated by 2029. This development represents a significant investment in the future of Orange Beach's tourism and economy.
